The fundraiser will feature a dinner made with locally produced ingredients, prepared by Healthy World Cafe.
This fall, three local fresh-food organizations will come together to infuse the city with York County agriculture during a joint fundraiser.
Guests will dine on dishes made with local ingredients paired with local wines and beers outside Central Market York.
Kim Gross, who serves on the executive committee for York County BFBL, said the organizations decided to come together for this event because their missions support each others and because they have similar constituents. She said organizers got the idea from another city that hosted such an event to tie its agriculture to its downtown.
She said the meal might include stuffed mushrooms, hummus, baskets of grilled breads, kale salad, pork with apple tomato chutney, and a chocolate or apple bread pudding. It also will feature music and a silent auction.
Tickets cost $65, and people may buy tickets until the day of the event. For details, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Proceeds will benefit York BFBL, Horn Farm and Healthy World Cafe.
